During Hurricane sandy, I utilized my Tesla coil powered by my slayer exciter circuit to shed some light on our situation!
This demonstrates a most practical purpose for this circuit, where light is needed but lots of power isn’t available. Power conservation during or after a storm is key.
The 9V I am using to power this came out of my smoke detector, and is probably a year or so old.
Energy conservation should be on everyone’s mind now a days, and small inventions like this are a step in the right direction.
