THANK YOU EVERYONE! WE WILL CONTINUE TO POST UPDATES AS NECESSARY!
This video was actually made a couple days ago. Unfortunately, as I was driving home from the shoot, my car broke down and I had to abandon it until the next day due to the nor easter. To my surprise, I came back the next day to find my car had been towed. After several hours of searching for the “company” who towed me, I found out it was only 5 miles from where I had left it. $260 for a 5 mile tow, and he demanded *cash* only. I also had to fight with him to get the items out of my vehicle, including this prototype and and the DSLR camera all the footage was taken from.
He demanded that I leave my items in the car, and that they would be “safe” until morning. I then informed him that I had a high powered rifle in the vehicle as well, and that there was no way I was going to leave a single item in the car. He then insisted again I should leave all of my items in the car. I gathered a couple items and carried them to the car I went there with as the man walked back to his place of residence, which was adjacent to the lot my car was sitting in. After the second or third trip, the man stuck his head out the window, and yelled:
“Are you hard of hearing?”
and I replied “excuse me”
“I told you to leave all your items in the vehicle”
“You go ahead and call the cops, tell them that someone is removing their own items from a vehicle you towed, see what happens” I obtained every single one of my items from the car.
I called the police who authorized this individual to tow me, and they told me to call the better business bureau. What a joke, Pennsylvania state police are really dropping the ball here.
Tomorrow I will attempt to retrieve my car. It is in his best interest not to hassle me, as I am not pleased with this whole situation… Extortion then an attempted con to steal my rifle and other items, from an individual authorized by the state of Pennsylvania to tow and detain cars (in an un gated facility no less).
I am documenting this situation for the world to see.
ANYHOO, drama aside, despite extreme cold, we managed to get a few takes and some stills. More to come!
